Type 2 Diabetes Awareness Outreach
In May 2024, we went on the maiden Type 2 Diabetes Awareness Outreach to 5 secondary schools in Ogoja Local Government Area (LGA), Cross River State, Nigeria
We firmly believe that by empowering young individuals with the right knowledge about diabetes, we can ultimately reduce the prevalence of diabetes in Nigeria.
Diabetes Awareness Campaign
To mark World Diabetes Day 2024, we took our Diabetes Awareness Campaign (DAC) project a step further by expanding our reach to include teachers, equipping them with vital knowledge and conducting free fasting blood sugar tests.
This holistic approach deepened our impact and ensured that both young people and educators were informed, supported, and empowered to take proactive steps in managing and preventing Type 2 Diabetes.
Garbage Clinic for Type 2 Diabetes
The vision is to provide glucometers, personalized coaching, medications, and prosthetic legs for victims of amputation due to Diabetes Mellitus Foot Ulcer.
In exchange, registered participants will bring plastic waste (garbage) from their communities. These plastics will be recycled in collaboration with recycling companies, and the funds raised will be used to meet the health needs of registered diabetics.
